Ett snyggt kontorskomplex som mäter 9.885 m² i Surrey, UK. Velocity är en elegant och energieffektiv arbetsplats som är attraktiv för hyresvärdar och hyresgäster. Klassificerad med ett BREEAM ”Excellent” och en B-klassificering för energiprestanda, hjälpte Daikin Velocity att förbättra sina gröna referenser genom att installera ett Daikin VRV-värmeåtervinningssystem.

För att få ”gröna” referenser

Velocity-byggnaden använder den senaste tekniken för att uppnå ökad energieffektivitet. Solskuggningen på den södra sidan minskar instrålningen, medan solceller och solfångare ger förnybara alternativ för delar av byggnadens energibehov.

Vad som skiljer VRV-systemet från andra system är värmeåtervinningssystemet, vilket innebär att man återanvänder energi för att överföra värme från varma till kalla utrymmen. Systemet ansluts även till ett fastighetssystem för att säkerställa att inomhustemperaturen håller sig vid 22 °C - 23 °C under hela året.

Inledningsvis uppnådde Velocity-byggnaden ett BREEAM ”very good”, men när utövare tog hänsyn till Velocitys energipraxis och -hantering, ökades klassificeringen till ”Excellent”.

Låg energiförbrukning

Alla åtgärder i Velocity-projektet ledde till en byggnad med extremt låg energiförbrukning, med endast € 9/m² jämfört med € 29/m² för ett typiskt brittiskt (CIBSE) kontor eller mindre än 1/3. Nedan följer en jämförelse av Velocitys energiförbrukning jämfört med en typisk brittisk kontorsbyggnad.
